CRGO Cores Engineered for Magnetic Performance

Silicon Steel
C, E & Toroid Core Solutions

At LaminaCore, we supply precision CRGO (Cold-Rolled Grain-Oriented) silicon steel cores for high-efficiency transformer and magnetic applications. We offer standard grades from M4 to MOH, as well as high-performance HiB grades with losses ranging from 0.95 W/kg to 0.60 W/kg in thicknesses as low as 0.23 mm to 0.20 mm. These materials are available either laser scribed for enhanced performance or etched to preserve superior magnetic properties after annealing. For high-frequency applications, we also supply ultra-thin GOSS (Grain Oriented Silicon Steel) in thicknesses of 0.10 mm and 0.05 mm, ideal for demanding compact magnetic designs.

What Are CRGO Silicon Steel Cores?

CRGO steel is specially processed to align its grain structure, significantly reducing core losses and improving magnetic efficiency. This makes it the industry standard for transformer and inductor cores where low hysteresis and high permeability are essential.

Grades Supported:

Thickness Range: Standard 0.27 mm down to thin gauge 0.23 mm and 0.20 mm

HiB Grades:

0.95 W/kg down to 0.60 W/kg

Specialty Materials: GOSS in 0.10 mm and 0.05 mm for high-frequency use

Treatment Options: Laser scribed or etched to enhance and maintain magnetic performance post-annealing

CRGO C-Core

Designed for transformers, inductors, and power modules, CRGO C-Cores provide high magnetic efficiency with low core loss. Available as split or bonded pairs, these cores offer excellent performance for compact and modular designs.

CRGO Toroidal Core

CRGO toroidal cores offer excellent magnetic path continuity and minimal leakage flux. Supplied on request in collaboration with trusted partners, they are ideal for efficient, compact wound coil designs.

Bonded Block Core

Rigid and stable, bonded block cores are manufactured from stacked CRGO laminations. Ideal for heavy-duty magnetic assemblies requiring mechanical strength and dimensional consistency.
